TITLE: Admissions Counselor

CADC, LSW or LAC required.

Under the direction of leadership, the admissions counselor is responsible for the initial admission interview, to include the collection and processing of all data regarding potential admission, the completion of all forms releases and referrals, and the orientation of all clients. The admissions counselor will assemble the client chart, enter computer data schedule appointments accordingly, interact with various referral sources and orient the client to the rules and regulations of the applicable program. In addition, the admissions counselor will also be responsible for maintain census requirements to the best of their ability.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: CADC, LSW or LAC required.

EXPERIENCE: None.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires repetitive motion, hearing, pushing, reaching, reading, seeing, speaking, standing and walking a majority of the time. Spends time with such equipment as a computer terminal, fax machine, copier and telephone. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
