Physician - Breast Surgery Medical Director

Location: Egg Harbor Twp, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Varies
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our state-of-the-art Breast Surgery Division and are seeking a talented, experienced board-certified Director of Breast Surgery to pioneer the future of this department. The medical director will develop, lead and engage a multidisciplinary team, which includes physicians board-certified in general surgery, breast surgery and plastic surgery; medical and radiation oncologists; diagnostic radiologists; pathologists; and other ancillary cancer specialists, to combine their expertise to evaluate and provide comprehensive, patient-tailored treatment for all stages of breast disease.

Responsibilities:
  • Specialize in breast cancer treatment and prevention.
  • Assess and treat the complete spectrum of breast issues.
  • Assess breast symptoms such as pain and nipple discharge.
  • Evaluate abnormal imaging.
  • Perform biopsies, genetic counseling and testing.
  • Manage breast cancer risk in patients who are at increased risk for breast cancer.
  • Help with problems with lactation.
  • Manage breast cancers, including surgery for breast cancer.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited surgical residency program and successful completion of medical boards with certification by The American Board of Surgery. The Society of Surgical Oncology and/or The American Society of Breast Surgeons fellowship is required.
