Quality Improvement Compliance Coordinator

Location: Atlantic City, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Days

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license, registration and insurance required.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum 1 year of working with a frail or elderly population required.
  • 3-5 years of clinical or post-acute experience required, preferably within quality improvement department, case management, risk management or utilization management areas.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Critical interpersonal, communication, analytical and statistical skills are required.


POSITION SUMMARY
The LIFE Connection quality improvement and compliance coordinator works directly with the quality assurance director to carry out the LIFE Connection quality improvement plan and ensure compliance with state and federal policies and regulations. With the oversight of the QA director, this position is responsible for collecting and validating data accuracy from all sources for reports to be shared with all stakeholders.

The quality improvement and compliance coordinator is responsible for the integrity of the medical record and implementing the process to resolve grievances and service delivery requests.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid New Jersey driver's license, registration and insurance required. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of New Jersey.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year of working with a frail or elderly population required. 3-5 years of clinical or post-acute experience required, preferably within quality improvement department, case management, risk management or utilization management areas. Knowledge of educational principles, accreditation standards and statistical analysis required. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Critical interpersonal, communication, analytical and statistical skills are required. Proficiency in clinical applications preferred at time of hire. Incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.


PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the ability to perform the department-specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee must be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social services disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. The work setting is in an adult day health denter and primary care clinic environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures. This position requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, the ability to use department equipment and the ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics with reasonable accommodation if needed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This positions reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
