Staffing Coordinator - Professional Practice and Development - Full Time

Location: Atlantic City, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Days

POSITION SUMMARY
The staffing coordinator will provide clerical and Clairvia support by maintaining the cross-campus nursing schedule with accuracy to match resources and identify needs in a proactive manner. By ensuring Clairvia scheduling is accurate and quantifying needs in a global manner, data collection is better served, along with integration towards our staffing/acuity electronic model. The staffing coordinator will also be responsible for agency workflows with finance, including liaison with NJHA partner.

The staffing coordinator is also responsible for ensuring accurate and complete scheduling of staff in multiple positions and shifts within the scheduling system. This position coordinates a wide variety of planned and unplanned staffing needs. This position communicates and collaborates with Patient Flow, Nursing Resources, Nursing Leadership and team members to provide quality customer service. The role performs general office and administrative duties to meet the needs of and to schedule nursing support. The position also provides administrative support to functional managerial staff and assists with operations as required, including supporting the scheduling application system. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to support the scheduling application with the IT analyst and in consultation with users, including assisting in system tests and audits.

The staffing coordinator coordinates data for all team staff, as well as maintaining department files for team members. The role prepares reports, coordinates meetings and department functions, maintains office supplies and responds to routine phone and mail correspondence, ensuring efficient business operations. The staffing coordinator ensures accurate and complete dissemination of information to managers and staff. This position prepares and distributes organizational meeting minutes.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of experience in staff scheduling work or other related position required. Knowledge of policies, procedures and best practices for staffing required. Excellent interpersonal abilities and communication verbal and written required. Outstanding organizational abilities required. Technical proficiency in multiple computer applications, including Excel, Clairvia and Kronos, required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires desk/computer work for a majority of the time. Requires some walking and standing and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Position requires increased amounts of repetitive motion with regard to typing.
