Therapist I - Child Partial

Location: Egg Harbor Twp, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Days
Minimal Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in behavioral health required.
  • New Jersey LAC or LSW licensure required.
  • Valid New Jersey's driver's license required.
  • BLS and CPI required within 90 days from date of hire or transfer.
  • Ability to conduct therapy sessions in the language of the population served required with interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other related department-specific software required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Therapist I – Child Partial works under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner. The Therapist I in the Child Partial Program provides individual, family and group therapy; bio-psychosocial intakes; and other modalities to clients and their families according to demonstrated competence. The therapist is supervised in these tasks by a licensed independent practitioner.

The Therapist I will complete bio-psychosocial assessments and prepares comprehensive treatment plans for clients while providing individual, family and group psychotherapy. The Therapist I will also provide crisis intervention and documents all client interactions, including all sessions with clients, families, significant others, etc., within established time frames.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: Master's degree in a behavioral health required.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: New Jersey LAC or LSW licensure required. BLS CPI required within 90 days of hire. Valid New Jersey driver's license required.
  • EXPERIENCE: 1 year in a behavioral health setting preferred. Ability to conduct therapy sessions in the language of the population served required. Works effectively with interdisciplinary treatment team required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other related department-specific software required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. This position requires frequent sitting the majority of the day. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
